What a bunch of bs...Labor day is near so they gotta find something to blame it on...how convenient...a hurricane. I'm sure it'll be $3.00 a gallon.
By the way, just clicked on your red house...very cute.

Other than Greed by an industry already flooded with profits
how does a hurricane cause the price of oil to rise? They reported on our news that it is due to the lost production from the oil platforms in the gulf. Everyone knew that hurricane was comming and prepaired for it , I cant believe that those oil companies havnt been stockpiling oil supplies to make up for the period they will be down.
and another thing I dont understand is that the hurricane is the reason for the price increase now and they have used that excuse in the past ....what happens after the hurricane has passed , why dont the prices ever go back down.
Ok I justheard this report again and the b#@ch said -----
---The price of oil in europe has topped $70.00 a barrell due to hurricane katrina. she went on to say that all of the oil companies have pulled their people off of the oil platforms in the gulf halting production
Why should the oil comming from the Gulf , affect the price of oil on the eurpoean market, when the oil from the gulf is refined and used here, not europe
I think it's called a global commodity market...but, then again.
Don't you all wish you could jack up HVAC prices like the oil companies See Jim stubbed his toe yesterday and we had to send everyone home, so were going have to add 25% to that install. Of course since its hot there is a surcharge as well.
Oil companies just make up reasons as they go along...but not much you can do....need to drive to work. Cant carry all the tools on bicycle.
73% of Americans say that illegal immigration is a problem. The other 27% say, "No habla inglis!"
Supposed to go up 20 to 30 cents up here today but hasn't happen yet.
It's not like they need a constant flow of oil anyway. They have a stockpile of it, much of which was probably bought at $60 a barrel or much cheaper. They'll jack the price up for a while, make some major profits.
Then when they need to start getting more oil piled up they'll some how bid it out, or make the barrel prices drop a bit.
They are almost like an insurance company. No matter what happens they really can't loose money.
This is what causes inflation. You will eventually have to raise your service rate. But we and a lot of other businesses can't flucuate our prices. So we anticatipate our rate. Our cost went up 97 cents. We better raise our hourly rate $2.00 an hour to cover this and what will happen.
Everyone does this and before you know it bread will be 5 bucks a loaf.
HAD A SALESMAN IN TODAY HIS BROTHER OWNS A GAS STATION.GAS MAY GO AS HIGH AS 40 CENTS OVERNIGHT.HE HAS TO KEEP WITHIN 6 CENTS OF ALL STATIONS IN PA. OR E**ON WILL PULL HIS ACCOUNT.

Gas in my neck of the woods has just gone down. Was at $2.61 last week, just saw it for $2.43 at one station. I am not sure how that supply and demand thing works here in Amish country where the locals can switch back to strictly "horse" power on a moments notice.

6-30-05 2 pm $2.99.9 per gallon here.
Even in my little Metro its getting silly around here. I drive 25 miles to and then from work and 30 each way to school...I tend to fill up every 3rd day hard to believe it cost $20 to fill up a skateboard size car. I can only imagine what you all pay to fill up trucks and SUVs

Get back to work.™
I heard this on an Atlanta station today. Some resident bozo expert said if you can afford to drive a vehicle then you can afford to buy gasoline.
So, tonite my soon to be 20 year old daughter was scrounging quarters from the change jar we keep in the kitchen. She is going to college, working at a child day care, and trying to do the right thing. Her gross pay of 7.00 an hour, and part time to boot, makes it really hard on her. Of course dear old dad gave her a few bucks to help her out. But she really was reluctant to take my money. She said Dad I am trying to figure out how to budget my money then gasoline shoots up again. It seems like all of my money is going to gasoline.
I hope the greedy SOB's enjoy robbing all of us with their high priced fuel.
I'm suprised one of you geniuses hasn't jumped in and blamed Karl Rove and Dick Cheney for the price of gas.
EDIT: On further review, I see several of you have. My Bad.
Whatever you do, don't blame supply and demand for high gas prices...nothing breaks up a black helicopter and tinfoil hat party like a few facts.
