upping coil by 1/2 ton method, advan/disadv?

With the brand I sell you no longer can get the full warranty for the system if the indoor coil isn't ARI matched.
We used to always up size the coils here by a 1/2 ton, but humidity in the desert isn't a problem.

ARI matches sometimes include coils that appear to be oversized by 1/2 or even 1 ton. For example, my York YHJF30 condenser is 2.5 ton and is ARI matched with a MC43C coil which is nominally 3.5 ton.

Not worried about humidity here, which is currently about 20%.
