    oxyacetylene cost

I was just checking to see how much it cost to get a set of tanks filled. 40 c.f. or so. Also about how long does it last before refilling. I know theres no good answer for that one but a ball park would be appreciated.

Depends on your location! It will vary greatly from area to area. Call your local supply house, they will tell you what it costs in your area.

I'm not sure exactly what it costs to fill up an acetylene bottle here, but we've been told by our supplier to begin switching to propelyne. They told us there are shortages in acetylene and it's going to be getting worse so propelyne is going to be the cheaper way to go. May want to see what your supplier says...

I charge 22 bucks a stick (15%) + 24 bucks for use of the torch.

I remember when fixing a freon leak would run about 40 bucks for 2 hours.

    Call- 16 + 2 hr time= 16= 32 bucks.
    Freon (3 lbs)- 4 bucks.
    Torch/braze rod misc- 4 bucks.

Was told by G.W. Berkheimer the acetylene plant in Texas blew up last month and they don't expect to be on line till November. It was the only plant in North America that produces acetylene. They are now going to start rationing the amount they have in storage in order to make it last till the plant is running again.
