    Confused Multiple Evaporator Failures

Have never ran into what I have been told is most likely a Sulphur issue at a customers home, we installed new equipment 2 years ago due to many problems with the A/C

Evaporators we removed were fullof pin holes install all equipment brand new lasted about 6 month same issue.

Was given advice to uase all Aluminum coils, we just put them in, but am still concerned about what in the atmophere is there someone out there who could test this copper to verify whats causing this problem??

You might want to ask an environmental firm to offer an opinion. In the 1970s there was a spate of formaldehyde foam insulation. If in those walls it could be gassing off.

I always thought that formaldehyde was used for other things in the 70's?

May want to consider having an Air specialist involved as it does not sound healthy what so ever

I'm lost on that one. I saw stuff in my biology class in '66 that was in a jar of Formaldehyde. Maybe it had a use of which I am unaware.....

Let us know what you find. I'll bet it's a short list of things in a house that will hurt an evap. Mold acids, insulation, paint and carpet voc's, meth lab....
