Thread: Driving Phobias

  1. #1
One of our techs, has been suffering from panic attacks while driving on bridges, hills, high curving roads, he has just acquired this condition since he as always traveled these roads without any fear what so ever , it is really starting to hamper his schedule he has been driving many many miles out of the way in order to avoid the areas where these attacks happen. Ever ran across anything like this ? he is about 40 years old, male, sharp guy. He just flips out when he has the attacks.

    Customer?!
No reserve. No retreat. No regrets.

For those who have fought for it, freedom has a sweetness the protected will never know.

No he is not a customer, he is a service tech a pretty good one. He just all of a sudden came up with this problem he never had any fear of heights or anything and one day while driving across a bridge he had a panic attack and his hands froze to the wheel. He said he barely made it across the bridge.

Did his father die in the water when he was young or maybe he was written off the show. I can't remember.

It was all in his head. you just got to overcome your fears or you'll be trapped in a box all your life

How can he overcome his fears, without actually driving to these places and risking an accident which may involve innocent people ?
