Tempstar smartcomfort 2000 model TCHO36AKA! need some info
Hi
just needing some info on this Model ...i'm guseeing it's about 36,000 BTU's ? ( thats why it has the 36 in the model #) but was needing to know about how old this unit may be and whats the lowset outside temp that the heat pump can work at ??

Post the serial number, that will tell the age. I believe its good to about -10F.

The colder it is outside the less efficient it'll be though. If you're on nat gas, I would never run it if its colder than 40-45 though. On LP? Maybe a little colder. These aren't hard rules just general guidlines I follow in OH. Sorry, I assumed you have a dual fuel system.
