Is there any difference between 134a for auto and 134a for stationary use besides the fittings?

Just the size of the container they sell it in. Automotive comes in 20 lb jugs or the little one shot cans.

No.There is a difference in the oil used though.The small cans used for auto contain oil,whereas a 30 pound drum will not contain oil.

Oh yeah. I think they also put some kind of leak sealant in the small cans.

not all of the small cans contain leak sealer and/or oil. some are just straight refrigerant. just read the can carfully to make sure you get what you want

automotive R-134a is usually designed to operate with PAG oil whereas commercial R-134a utilizes POE?
