If you want to have two pumps, purchase a rebuild kit for your JB. Have you been dissatisfied with the JB? If you're working resi equipment primarily, then you don't need anything much bigger than 5 CFM. Our company has several different manufacturers and can't find any significant differences between the pumps. We generally purchase a 7 CFM pump and get good long service from them with constant oil changes.
I'd recommend a new pump to get you going right away and rebuild the other pump so you've got a good stand-by if needed. If YOU want change, YOU have to first change.
If you are waiting for the 'other guy' to change first, just remember, you're the 'other guy's' other guy. To continue to expect real change when you keep acting the same way as always, is folly. Won't happen. Real change will only happen when a majority of the people change the way they vote!

The might have on already on hand or could at least order one for you. Asking them is, of course, the answer to that question.

I've used several brands. Currently have JB and no issues. Change that oil EVERY time you use it.

Is that in your truck or your pump? Perhaps you do both and make a day out of it.

I have a yellow jacket 6 cfm. Sometimes I wonder if it is pumping to capacity. Recently I was told it wasn't because it was too quiet when it starts getting into a deep vacuum. The tech said it should sound like it does at higher pressures. Any comments!
