I thought the desert was gods country .?

You are correct. The Lord took a chunch of the dessert and then He put a couple of sickly looking pine trees in it and He called it Georgia.

i do not own a snow shovel
people are friendlier here, i really believe that
i do not own a snow shovel
climate is conduscive to year round work
i do not own a snow shovel
    cars do not rust out
i do not own a snow shovel

i worked at UGA for several years (80 mi from atl) and now live 40 miles north.

it is a rat race like all other big cities, lots of work and money.... but, hey if you don't wann run with the dawgs, stay on the porch.

lusker has a good handle on atl refrigeration, his input would be beneficial to you

This mountain air is invisible and smells nice, and you can drink the water right out of the tap.

You can't say that about Atlanta, and I have no idea what color Dice's underoos are, nor do I care to.

Come stay with us for a couple of days and I will take you to the south end of the mountain range.... It is less than an hour north of me... I will show you that you are wrong.

You're invited. So you don't have a leg to stand on to say no.

That's tempting. I was there for a week a few years back (3????) to move BJ up here. Never made it out of Atlanta/Mableton until we left for here, and then it was sort of a hurried trip home.

I would like to see some of the rural areas down there.

But, admit it, that air in Atlanta is just plain funky.

    Mableton?

that is like west north west of atlanta...

put in a 12 ton off of Austell rd this morning.

If Mableton is at 9:30 on a clock... I am at the extreme 12 noon possition and 30 miles north of that... fresh air and Lake Lanier 3 minutes away and the mountains 45 minutes due north.

Yep. She lived in Mableton. Wasn't but a block or two off of the Bankhead Highway.

So does another H-talk member, RichardL. (The mysteriously missing as of late RichardL...)

    Anybody hear from Richard lately????????

Nope... but we maintain the Big Chicken for KFC

Marietta is about 10:30 on a clock... I am at 12 and 30 miles north. Our county was the fastest county in population growth in the US last year, now this year the county just north of us is.

Home prices have almost doubled. Mine has and I am looking to sell and get a little more land further out in the country.
