    mcquay AGS320B

    having low discharge superheat problems,the circuit will load to about 70% the dsh will drop and will unload. Checked all temp&pressure sensors. Need some help with this problem,

    Low discharge superheat typically means your bringing back liquid to the compressor.

    In your case it's probably a bad sensor unless you can verify EXV operation isnt controlling superheat correctly.

    it is not uncommon for the exv to hang up during operation. pull each temp sensor and compare with an accurate thermometer, I will use a cup of water and see if it reads right. also check ball valve for oil skimmer line, if open all the way back it off about half.
