ASBESTOS
I didn't realize Canada is exporting asbestos to other countries with no regard for the safety of the general population. It's one of the top exports. Seems it's all OK to the Canadians. Learned about this on the Daily Show.

It's definitely not ok to a great many Canadians! I would guess a majority of Canadians are not even aware of this trade, and if they were would surely oppose it, but a town in Quebec wants to keep it's asbestos mining population employed, doing what they've been doing since before the hazards of asbestos were known.
CBC did a powerful piece on this miserable business a year ago, but it didn't seem to make a political impact.
Good work Jon Stewart and the Daily Show for exposing this once again, to a very much larger audience.Question authority!

This right-wind ass is a total hypocrite...
He campaigned through fear-mongering, everyone knew it and still he waon a 4 or 5 year majority government two weeks ago
I could go on with a million reasons this guy should be thrown out.. Ha.. just last night we got wind of the fact that they have made it law that anyone in Parliament no longer has to hand over evidence for anything they do!
People gotta learn the hard way.
Unlike REALITY This ain't the right-wing conservatives of old! These guys are totalitarianists.
...but alas, you guys don't care about Canadian politics... or where a huge amount of your oil comes from.. CANADIAN TAR SANDS!!... even if we are your neighbours...

I have not said "Canadians" I should have said Government. Just a real eye opener that the political environment lets such a debilitating industry survive at the expense of an uneducated and economically starved consumer to sustain a desired economy at home.

As I was typing that I was thinking the same thing. But.....what product do we export that is a killer to the material handler? Please don't include guns, tanks, planes, or any weapons. Just products that paid workers handle.
