I don't know much about them but everyone I talk to says a plasma screen is better because you can see the picture no matter what angle from the TV you are sitting.

Hey James, do some research here,

    http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/index.php

I dont know about the newer ones, but the older plasmas have a three to five year lifespan, if you are looking for a modern tv, go with a DLP, they show the truest blacks next to a CRT, also JVC has a 3 chip DLP that is top of the line and with a dlp you can purchase the lighting bulb for the tv and replace it yourself for about 200 dollars.

I heard on CNN last night that right now is the best time to buy one. Prices are low. They said you can get one for 4K and under...compared to 20K when they came out. I'll wait a bit longer for prices to decline some more. Hell, I just bought my first flat screen three years ago. What a huge difference from old type. I can't imagine a plasma in HD.

I thought they gave you plasma, when they ran out of blood in the O.R. .............
