My question concerns using a Taco 1 zone switching relay with a 8148 control on a 2 zone heating system. Is it possible to use these two controls together? It seems like when the zone that is being controlled with the Taco Zone relay calls it will also turn on the zone being controlled by the 8148, unless I have it wired wrong. Any suggestions? It seems that when we have two zones and a 8148 we need to use a Taco 2 zone relay.

The 8148 "Cold Start" aquastat can handle only 1 heating zone, all additional circulator zones will need a relay. The relay comes with specific wiring instructions to mate the circ relay with the Cold Start aquastat. It's easy wiring if you know what you're doing.
