    Yeah, nothing would prevent that.

Probably more people would put something helpful in than not.

Maybe explain in the rules how necessary it is. Then for those that didn't, it would quickly tell us the type of person they are, then we could elect not to help.
Which makes more sense to you?
CONSERVATION - turning your thermostat back and being uncomfortable. Maybe saving 5-10%
ENERGY EFFICIENCY - leaving your thermostat where everyone is comfortable. Saving 30-70%

DO THE NUMBERS! Step on a HOMESCALE.
What is comfort? Well, it AIN'T just TEMPERATURE!

Energy Obese? An audit is the next step - go to BPI.org, or RESNET, and find an auditor near you.

The new site stuff will be good IMO. Yeah, we all have a time with change... however never changing things is worse IMO.

I am looking forward to the AOP forum... this will IMO resolve the grey area of 'no diy' yet it happens...

THX to Dave, the mods, and all the folks that make H-talk a fun and helpful tool for the HVACR industry.

True...but with all these changes, sometimes I wish I was that puppy on yer laptop...

I really do appreciate the hard work that goes into this site, it's been my salvation more than once. Thanks for all you guys do for us...
(The wise men of modern thought) adore a god made of putty or of wax - plastic, effeminate, molluscous, with no masculine faculty about him, and no quality that entitles him to the respect of just and honest men, for a being who cannot be angry at wrongdoing is destitute of one of the essential virtues, and a moral Ruler who is not angry with the wicked, and who refuses to punish crime, is not divine. ---Spurgeon

    Sorry for the delay.
    THX Dave!

My vote: I would rather you guys take your time and get it right before rolling it out. Rather than like some manufacturers that do their R&D in the field at the customer's expense...

Yeah, H-talk is free to techs... however the time aggravation of fiddling with a something that does not work right is not worth it to me.

So take your time guys, we appreciate what you do for our industry.

They should just give you an ftp password and get out of the way, someone who actually cares about the site should be in charge of this stuff.
