    New Member. Need Help!

Hello. I am desperate to find what I am told is an "air handling unit". I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to find one . It is for a "Unitary" and the model # is : twc-240b . I was hoping to find used, as I believe this is pretty expensive. I was hoping either someone had one, or could lead me to where I may be able to locate one. So glad I found this site. Looks like I have a lot of reading to do. Thanks in advance for any help you can lend. Take care everyone~

welcome, those numbers don't look right to me, but hey

there really isn't a market for used pieces & parts_hvac related

do you have a trane air handler (indoor unit)?

if so, a couple of those numbers are out of order or you have a real large unit?
It`s better to be silent and thought the fool; than speak and remove all doubt.

As mentioned, I know of no "used HVAC equipment" markets. Most of the time, they are used until they are ready for the junk heap.

You are best advised to get with a good contractor and review your options. Looks like a Trane TWE series 20 ton unit is what you are looking for.

Whatever you do, DO NOT mismatch capacity or SEER rating. You will have nothing but trouble. Confirm what you need. Your best bet is to do the following:

    1) Figure your heat load using actual appliances that will be in use. I can't tell you how many mall stores were sized for fluorescent lighting, and have halogen accent lights. Those stores are always too hot, and the AC runs ALL day.

    2) Get a unit that matches the load, and matches the components, outdoor and indoor. New will be a 410a unit.
