I want to put up a picket fence to screen the front and right sides of my Rheem 2.5 ton Mod # RRKA-A030JK08E gas/heating electic cooling package unit. What minimum clearances between the fence and unit should be used?
Thanks,
Fred

All 3 exposed sides have service pannels. Give 'em room to work.

you could probably go 8"-12" as long as fence was easily removed for service. remove it before service tech gets there.

use the mfgr recommendations & be legal
allow someway for servicing, even removal of whole unit.

Thanks for the pointers. Here's what I came up with...
Clearances on 3 sides are greater than that specified on the nameplate. For unit replacement fence panel at top of pic can be set to the side (by owner, yours truly) by removing 4 SS wing nuts. Space to enter (at bottom of pic) is 28 inch wide.
This beats tech having to cut thru shrubs with a machete I'm thinkin'.
Your thoughts????

Photo was made from deck. My bride nixed the idea of a roof shoot.
