Thread: This will cool you off

Hi everyone. First picture post. It's been hot everywhere, so I thought maybe this would cool everyone off. hahaha
This was taken 2 years ago in the winter. It's an auto parts place, installed by one of our competitors.
Notice they had all the room along the wall to place the vent termination, but chose to put it dead center over the condenser?!

Happiness is the only good. The time to be happy is now. The place to be happy is here. The way to be happy is to make others so.

Maybe they wanted it up high like that so kids wouldn't get at the unit.

Then put a fence around it on the ground, with it installed that way it is just a accident waiting to happen for some Technician.

far as i can tell they installed the unit up there to prevent it from getting damaged by cletus with the snowplow or getting hit by a delivery truck.
yes we get damaged condensors here from snowplow operators.
but then maybe they just wanted to save on copper.
unit is so tight to the wall you would need a small wrench just to remove the 5/16 screws to remove the control panel.
oops we dropped one. ah f@#& it.
our scrap price for number one copper here is now up to $1.50 a pound. anyone else collect and turn it in?
