Do I remember sonic booms??? I haven't had time to forget about them yet. Live 5 miles from the AFB, usually hear a couple a week, if not more. Got a crack in the window because of it.

That pic is cool. Seeing it in real time is unbelievable."In this house we obey the laws of thermodynamics!"

My grandparents lived out way in the country, one day I was in the front yard looking down the gravel road and quite aways down I see a plane, maybe 100 feet off the ground, it came straight down the road, when it got over my grandparents farm, the tips of its wings folded down(never understood this as I got older, wanted to be a fighter pilot and never heard of a jet where the wing tips can be turned down in flight), it made a uturn, headed back up the road and when I saw it get back to where I originally saw it you could hear it for the first time, it was wicked, this was in the late 70's
Coolest non sonic boom, was there was an oxbow we used to fish and have a camp at Old River in Morganza, the A10 warthogs would practice mock fights and formation flying over the water, there was nothing like coming aroung the corner and there are 2 A10s flying straight at you about 40 feet up if that.Dad's Hideout The online mancave for dads
