A quick question for you experts out there. In addition to the problems I am having with the arzel zoning & bypass damper (previous post), I have noticed that when run my hands along the air handler on the Lennox G61V, I feel a large amount of air leakage--probably enough to blow out a match at various points. The air leakage is strong along the edges of the air handler where it attaches to the supply duct. Is this normal? The basement is like a meat locker, and I don't remember it being this way before.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Even though a good installation should have taken care of these...if you can feel them, then seal them....some prefer mastic, I have good luck with clear rtv silicone.

If you could post some pictures of the duct arrangements, we could probably give you better feedback.

AFTER you seal ALL joints, seams & holes of the plenums, ducts, boots- to- floor | ceiling, it seems that you need to insulate your ductwork!
