    my question is I have ice on the coil that goes to my AC unit(from the out). The unit is not blowing air or cooling, is it something that I can do or do I need A HVAC tech.And can you refur me to someone in the Charlottesville VA. area.

    Yes, you can check the filter and make sure there are no registers blocked. Then call a pro.

    Thanks for your reply. Another ? Once I change the filter and turn the system on what can I expect to see happen with the system? I'm still going to call a pro to check out the system for service and maintaince. Thanks

    Let the ice melt first. I said check the filter! was it very dirty?
