Who needs expensive duct work when you can do the same thing with a Home Cheapo fan. I think thoes guys got ripped off!

That is just shameful. They even used a j-box on the end of that romex extension cord thingie

I bet the airflow just DIED when they pulled that duct work.

This unit used to cool 2 warehouse areas and the area that all of the ductwork is lying is now going to be an independent office. The landlord removes all of the spiral, leaves a 24 x 30 hole in the block wall, all of the return is coming from that other room and the thermostat is located there as well. Low cool in warehouse even though unit runs 24/7---So they put this big ass fan on and kind of hung it there to help throw air accross stock room.

Did they at least use a quality piece of solid oak for that fan support, or just cheap cut plywood,lol

I'm guessing that that cheap-assed fan doesn't provide 4500 cfm to move the air across the evap either?
Like in the old days of cooling... a block of Ice and a fan.
I guess if you are in the middle of SOME renovations... you gotta do what you can for relief... however..........................
