It takes three people to do anything around here. Two do the work, one explains to the crowd of people who showed up when they seen smoke and flames.

The Black Book is Voyager Microcontrols. (UCP Board)
The White Book is ReliaTel Microprocessor Controls.[Avatar photo from a Florida training accident. Everyone walked away.]

The white zone is for the immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no parking in the red zone.

unsure what exactly your up against but in a nutsheel if the green light is on you have 24vac. The first thing i do is turn the minimium position setting to all the way open (CW) and see what happens. If OA damp opens id call the actuator itself good-look at economizer module and sensors. If there is no green light and you measure 24vac to T1 and TR1 on the econ module id call the module bad (the econ module sits right on top of the actuator and looks like its part of it.) Also take note of flashing green light on the econ module- steady on-conditions ok for free cool- slow flash-not ok for free cool. fast flash-no communication with refer board. Off agian is no power 24vac. Error codes are displayed as pulses 1/2 sec on, 1/4 sec off. 1 flash- actuator fault. 2-CO2 sensor, 3-RA humidity sensor. 4-RA temp sensor. 6 OA humidity sensor. 7 OA temp sensor. 8 MAT sensor. 9-11 flashes is internal fault. In my experiance communication failures is almost always the refer boards fault. I think you can also take the econ module off, jump 24vac from T1 and TR1 to the actuator and then close one of the other 2 inputs on the actuator and it should drive open if good. Hope any of that helpsw.

The older units (typically a Voyager) have a very large processor board, called the UCP board. The lower left hand corner has a red LED. If you want to use a conventional thermostat (as opposed to a Trane thermostat) you would get a second "interface" board (CTI) that provides for a conventional thermostat. This type of unit requires the black book. Pub 22-7706-06.
The newer units (such as the Precedent) use a much smaller ReliaTel board, with a green LED, and the ability to directly connect a conventional thermostat to a terminal strip along one side. This would use the newer "white" book. The one I have is No. RT-SVD03D-EN.[Avatar photo from a Florida training accident. Everyone walked away.]
