2 1/2 ton system and that is a 10" round return. The only return.

Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance

"There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey. It's unwise to pay too little.
When you pay too much, you lose a little money -- that is all. When you pay too little, you may lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot -- it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run. And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better."

Yeah really..."Hey...let's cross break this 10" long return plenum so it won't buckle while trying to pull 1000 CFM's through 10" pipe".

    Nice adequate return...what a joke.

I'm not fond of the cinder blocks.

    Is there a p-trap?

Where is the emergency drain ran to?

Is the return "box" sealed at the a/h and end cap? I see the elbow seams aren't sealed. Why bother with the elbows when flex is being used that far? Elbows not insulated.

Looks like a piece of pipe was also used as a collar. Nothing really wrong with it if installed and sealed properly...as a last resort.
    Get back to work.™

is that grey mylar flex? must not be in Texas.. when I find that stuff here, its usually laying flat on the joists giving the duct's insulation a place to sit. by the way, new member here, just wanting to say hi and intro myself..
