    customer has a five ton outside condenser model number S3BC-060K1
    YEAR 1998 BTUS 58,000 SEER 11.1
    OK now the inside unit is in the attic above second floor
    It is horizontal hanging also frigidaire.
    The coil has a pan for vertical installation also there is another pan on the side it is laying on in the horizontal position it is a A coil with a TEV.
    The R-22 Leak is in the coil it is leaking, see bubbles all over coming out of water, side it is laying on in plastic pan.
    question was this installed correctley
    evap coil can go in either way?
    I have a serial number from the evap coil 6001H13017
    DID NOT RIP BOX OPEN TO FIND MODEL NUMBER.
    box is 22 inches high, 29 inches long, 21 & 1/2 inches wide
    need to.
    also need evap to fit.

    These units had both pans installed that way from the factory.

    Do you know what the warranty is on your unit? I don't know about 1998 but now Frigidaire has a 8 year parts warranty. You may just ned to pay for labor to replace. A Frigidaire coil should fit right back. Call a Frigidaire dealer.
