I currently have an old Electronic Air Cleaner and my HVAC service company is recommending I replace it with a BMAC filter system instead. What's the consensus on these BMAC systems? It sounds like the filter run about $35-$40 and need to be replaced twice a year so is there a less costly option?

    Thanks, Dan

unless house is in real dirty area we almost always get a full year out of filter. i like them much more than eac nothing to fail, as filter gets dirty they don't allow dirt to just pass thru. we have replaced many eac cells with these filters, not one customer has asked that eac be repaired after trying them.
