    Is Freeze 12 compatible with r22?

    does your freeze 12 have an "R" infront of it? If it does you might be able to use it..providing you double it and take away 4 then add 2.

    It's Johnsons Freeze 12. All it says is: "Replaces R-12" It says nothing about R-22

    Replacement for R-22? R-22 is readily available at a supply house if you are EPA certified. Don't understand what kind of replacement you mean.

    there are replacmants for r-22 but there is not reason to use them 22 is easly available and works. any refrigerant you need to be epa cert. the fact freeze 12 and 134a you dont need cert for burns a hole in my but

    you DO need a certificate for Freeze 12 but not for 134A. But the EPA has really screwed things up. They are now regulating refrigerants that do not harm the ozone layer, which was the ONLY reason for regulation in the first place. Because they put so much effort into control rather than alternatives, we are stuck with a corrupt, non-sense, system. Those with certifications can only blame the EPA.
