Hello, I had a Bryant 4 ton 12 seer condenser installed about 3 years ago. The unit sits on a concrete pad with rubber isolation pads in between. Recently, the condenser, makes a banging noise when it starts up. The unit cools perfectly. I have checked the compressor mounts, bolts holdng the fan and cage and all seems ok. Any suggestions before I call a tech?

    Thank you

Shut the unit down and call a tech quickly.

If it ain't broke no tech can fix it would be my guess, as old Dad use to say If you just got to mess with it if it ain't broke make sure you break it were it can't be fixed.

Yes, it has a scroll compressor. Is this normal for scroll compressors when they start?

    Thanks
