Thread: Does this make me a Democrat?

Sterotypically, Democrats like to stick their noses in everyone else's business.
Well I was watching TV and a Perdue Chicken commerical came on. Jim Perdue was suppose to be obcessed with freshness.
So when Mrs. Housewife opened her refrigerator there was Jim sitting INSIDE OF THE APPLIANCE with a package of fresh chicken for her.
Every year over a hundred youngsters die of suffication inside of house hold refrigerators. The best way to prevent this is to warn the children not to play in or get inside of a refrigerator. One of my own children almost died when he got trapped inside of a WORKING refrigerator. Good thing my wife found him in time.
Anyway I sent Purdue a email to remind them that this could happen. A little kid might get the idea, from the commercial, that it would be fun to surprise Mommy and instead meet his death.
Refrigerators with the magnet seals have helped but has not eliminated child suffication in household refrigerator. Stored or discarded refrigerator/freezers should have the doors taken off. This is a law in many states.

I don't see the big deal. It probably makes you a concerned Grand Pop. What may make you a democrat is not considering the other couple of hundred commercials that have featured talking sandwiches and other people in refrigerators and a man in a little boat in the toilet. Have you written Tidy Bowl? I just hope Tampax doesn't get any ideas.
But that was a nice thing to do. I love you man.

I hope so......
Good job Beenie, that is a dumb commercial.
And excuse me but it seems the right wingers are more concerned about what people do in the privacy of their own home these days, not us patriotic democrats...........

If you weigh less than 10 lbs. after your tests in your "Pool" thread, that would make you a dem.

Benny, I see your point, but be careful picking on Jim. His father, Frank, is one of my local heroes.
Are you a liberal Democrat? Of course you are, but this issue is not what has reinforced that

The problem was with the old style refrigerators with the mechanical latches, those havent been manufactured since 1958, not sure where you got the 100 deaths a year figure, but I checked, 163 deaths were reported nationwide between 1956 and 1964, all in old-style fridges, and 96 between 1973 and 1984
Anyone strong enough to open the door and get in could just as easily push the door open from the inside and get out.

television is such a terrible influence on peoples lives.
i vote for a total ban.
