Wow, He's a better man than I. I would of killed the sniper and if he was just wounded I doubt I would have bandaged him up.

That was cool. He's a humanitarian for sure. I just don't know how I would have reacted.

This type of response is what separates "us" from "them."

They didn't. It's a US Army press release. I saw the video hot linked from the US Army Public Affairs Office website.

I was amazed when I saw the video. Talk about some self-control...maybe some hot and thirsty techs should take a lesson...

I'm with Cracker...but him being a medic I guess he is obligated in some way to helping the wounded..friend or enemy....and what is this mu mu muck muck crap you hear on the tape about shooting him in the name of God...that is why they call them religious fanatics for lack of a better term..if it was left up to me he would be a dead sob.......my son is there "somewhere southwest of Baghdad"..they lost 2 soldiers in his company a couple of weeks ago....most of these sob don't fight..use IED or suicide bombers instead...come on out you sob and fight the US military one on one...@#%&*..sorry I had to vent on this one..I feel better now

I saw this incident on our local station's website lastweek.
    http://wgrz.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=29968

I thought of posting it in the ARP section, but the thought of some folks posting sarcastic remarks would have only in-flamed me more.

I really have to hand it to the soldier for keeping his cool during such an incident.

You know Bobby...I caught hell in a few e-mails about being abrasive in there but. If you want to post in there you put on a pullet proof vest. Some people hate America. It is just that simple and it's not the Oprah show. But I put it here because people need to see it.

Did you hear what them towel heads were saying?
    Here's a rough translation....

He will die for our god.. *enter chant here*... mid chant... WTF, Habib you didn't kill him! (the sound of him slapping the back of the snipers head). Oh great now they've seen our camel! Hot pursuit (said in a Roscoe Coletrain voice". and the fleeting sound of camel steps....
