I am converting an electric hest system to a FAG system. I have had a few companies come by and all their products are "the best" I need an unbiased opinion on furnaces/ central air units. I have had Trane, Bryant, Keeprite, Gibson and Carrier all tell me that they are the best... any info would be great. Also, does there have to be a cold air return in every bedroom or is thet over-kill?

"FAG" system. That's funny. Trane and Carrier was telling the truth Bryant aint to bad either. Put returns in every room except the bathroom and kitchen. Make sure they do a load calculation to properly size the system.

Yeah, Installed the best. That's fine and dandy but how am I going to tell if they will do a good job or not? Any "key" questions I should ask?

How about efficiency? will a 13 SEER unit pay for itself over a 11 SEER in 7-10 years? If I go will a two stage variable speed furnace, will that pay for itself?
