is your fan able to run at all? switch to on and leave there. if the fan doesn't run call another service company. screw sears/carrier. let them prove you had it fixed. fan motor might not be hot because it plain just ain't running. could have an open winding. is your thermostat functioning normally otherwise? check your filter(s) condition (assuming THE FAN DOES COME ON!)only a few things it could be. good luck

Why do you idiots post stupid replies. First how do you know it is an ICM motor, second CT is right the blower must work to supply airflow. Read what the OP post before you make ignorant replies.

The OP has been given the best possible advice, contact another Carrier dealer and have them fix the unit. If you have a 10-year parts and labor warranty Carrier will change the contractor of record to the new company. Any Carrier dealer should be able to work on the system and be compensated by Carrier. That is the way Amana/Goodman Lennox and Trane/Am-Std work.

Classical you need to loosen up, big freaking deal if Im wrong about it being an icm motor. You dont have much room tellen anyone how they should do anything. Your install pictures on your companys web site belong in the wall of shame. Humble yourself your not as great as you think!

Have all of you forgotten that there is run cap on the indoor blower that could be the problem. Maybe no need to replace whole blower.

Carrier has 5 yr standard parts warranty just use carrier dealer part will be covered but you'll have to pay labor. I'm gonna print this thread next time a customer wants to buy from sears over 100 dollars for new equipment. Where are you located maybe someone here could assist you.

I agree, no reason you can't use another Carrier dealer.

It is possible that you may be short refrigerant and that is why your frozen. You may think your motor isn't running, but it is.

just wondering how you made out with sears.has the unit been repared yet

Unit probably frozen because lack of airflow across evap coil due to bad run cap on indoor blower. Just my opinion.
