I was asked to measure chilled water flow on a 6" and 12" steel pipe using an Ultrasonic flow meter. They want a non invasive reading. My question is, how reliable an accurate are this readings?
Any advice will be much appreciated!!

We have readings done from time to time and from what we can tell - they are pretty acurate. Sorry I can't be more specific. I think a lot of it depends on placement of the meter on piping. (away from turbulance)
I'm only working because it's not duck season!!!!!!!!!!

it depends on the product and services that your provider offer. if you are not satisfy try the product first. i think most of the ultrasonic flow meter provides accurate measurement of liquid within a closed pipe.
