Does anyone have any tips on where to buy a phased out 10 seer split a/c system just before the new federal minimum seer ratings take effect ? I'd like to think when they start closing them out the prices will drop alot

Close out
I wouldn't count on a close out, maybe a 10 percent increase would be more in line if the cost of 13 seer doesn't drop.

I'm not sure whether to take this post as real, or simply a gag. For a "professional member" to ask such a question raises questions on its own. HE is asking US, where to buy equipment?
And to top it off, RalphthePlumber guides this person to e-bay!!?? Hey Ralph why don't you just park us in the garage with the motor running and close the door!? It would be less painful.
This is really great "advice" guys, especially on an open thread such as this with full access by HOs and DIYs.
It is almost as though ralphie is trying sabotage.
Advice to Ralph the Plumber. Keep that 'plumber's helper' handy and leave the HVAC to the professionals!!!
