Hyper Terminal

On my XP computer i have used the hyper terminal to download operating and history data from the York chillers ICIV. A few weeks ago this computer gave some serious troubles and i had to get me a new one, but this time i brought a MAC running on MAC OS X 10.6.7.With the XP i use the Easy Sync ES-U-3001-M Serial to USB, so far i check with the Easy Sync site and this type of serial to usb is working on MACs too, but i don't know which program on MACs is equal to hyper terminal.
Can some one give me some advise and some instruction how to download this data on the MAC?

Sorry to hijack this thread, but sorta along the same lines.

I lost my notes on setting up hyper term for interfacing with the York panels.
I have the cable and know where to connect the three wires, just forgot how to set up hyper term config such as baud rate, etc..
I think it is VT100, but cant remember the rest.
