Huhhh.. Today I was just let go. For the first time so it sucks. My boss said it was just too much of a drag to pick me up and drop me off (I have no liscense and he was my next door neighbor) and that I wasn't at the skill level that needs. Which basically means I couldn't drive around and do service calls.

Man I feel like so much crap.

Damn man, he fired you for a bunch of reasons. Cheer up.

Hey I have been fired before...look at it as a opportunity to advance. Get those license, more training and don't look back.

Do you mean there were a lot I listed, or do you mean there were more reasons?

    You were a drag

    You have no license

You don't have the skills he wanted.

    Work on those...

O.K I am sure you are not a drag.

    Maybe not.

    Are you?

Would that be mainly you dont have a drivers licence? Thats a tough one, I tried keeping a guy on without one and even hired a guy to drive him around. Wasntworth it. I just have to say if thats it and you get your licence back , better think twice before drinking and driving again. Oh as far as experiance that comes with time but with out a license that time will be a lot longer.

Tomorrow, go take his condenser completely apart, and when he comes home, tell him you wanted to impress him by your dedication to improving your skills.

How are your hands? Do you think that possibly the "firing" had something to do with that situation?

Well you guys sure are helping out. I seem to really be balancing out from earlier, and the good laugh seemed to help (about taking his condenser apart)

Now about me, maybe I was sort of a drag to him. Not the way I worked, I worked like any in-experienced lanky just out of trade school kid should, but just what I did for my pay. There were a lot of times where I had nothing to do and was just reduced to watching him for $8 an hour. I really think he expected me to be driving around and slowly doing jobs for $8 by now. Also it probably didn't help that he had to drop me off in the middle of every afternoon instead of driving straight to his duplexes or whatever.

Oh well, that's just how the chips fell.

My hands are fine... Just still really sensitive. I don't think that had much effect on the situation besides making me look more like a newbie. You know, because it was harder for me to screw things in and turn stuff.

Well, it just seemed very very wrong that he didn't take that situation seriously... I just wondered if that could have had anything to do with it.

Hang in there and keep your head up. When a door closes, a window opens! :-)

Look on the bright side, you could always be a sp*rm donor.

Well on second thought with your burnt up hands, maybe not.
