Nice new rack From Huss, 6 of the 8 comps are 6D's. What part of this pic would make you want to take a trip to the manufacture and slap the dink upside the head?

Here is a closer look for you to narrow down the focus.

Can you believe they actually mounted a bracket for press and oil controls right infront of the oil plug? UNREAL!!! there is only about 1/8" infront of the plug before the bracket. Then think about how much fun it will be changing out one of these compressors with the sump hanging below the compressor mounting bolts by a good 2".

gerryboy00 Nope no bolts or anything of the sort.
I thought the same thing but they are welded on, not Tacked either, full beads, and from behind so I cant even get a die grinder in there to cut the welds off."I'm really easy to get along with once you people learn to see it my way."

I wondered where the Margaux designers went to work.

Had about a dozen Margauxs just like that.

I just dont understand how stupid they are. I know for a fact if you call the hussman rep they will authorize you to modify as needed and pay you to correct this factory problem. This is a factory issue they know about, but will play it off as they have never seen this..yea right!

There is a tool you can buy at the wholesalers that will help you on this problem you can put tube in fitting in the base of the compresser and use suction pressure from the rack to push all of the oil out. But the problem then is, the screen behind the plug is still dirty. Then the brackett would have to be removed and installed in a more appropretoe location. hope you have enogh slack in the hoses and wires!
