WORKING ON A OLD CARRIER WITH A NO COOLING CALL,AS IM TAKING CAPS OFF SCRADERS OIL LADDEN REFRIGERANT COMES OUT THE BOTH VALVES . The pressure high went between 250 & 300 and the low showed none. The shell was cold and discharge line hot. The compressor was drawing 10 plus amps. Im thinking the suction valve is bad.

Why would you say the compressor is bad? You need to fix the pin or your hose so you can get a suction pressure reading. If there was an actual reading of 0psi, you wouldnt have a cold shell and it would most likly have been dead or off on internal when you got there. The compressor sounds good so far. Need just a bit more info on this machine and some operating info.. Was it running when you got there or you pushed the contactor in? Are you a service tech or H.O?
