Today, I ran into something I have never seen before. Local bar, free standing Bev-aire keg cooler, CO2 tank in the basement.
The low pressure CO2 line from the tank to the cooler had a "CO2 filter" cut into the feed line. It was the size of a liter pop bottle, made of white PVC, hose clamp connections on both ends.
I do their work, so it must have been the beer distributor who installed it.
What's the point?

i saw the same thing on a bev-air keg box yesterday with co2 tank right next to box. some new tec-o-noligy,or maybe their using crappy co2.
