Hello all,
I have an upstairs unit that is blowing 61 degree air from the vent closest to the unit, maybe 10 feet away. (It's a split unit) Room temps don't get below 74. My downstairs unit blows 47 degree air from it's first vent and room temps easily goto 70. Is there a problem with my upstairs unit or is it because it's upstairs and 90 degrees outside that the vent temps are much higher? It seems to me, that a 14 degree difference in vent temps is quiet substantial.
Also, I have a free standing de-humidifier running and keeping the relative humidity below 50% upstairs.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Too many possible causes.
Air leak in the return.
Over charged.
Undercharged.
Dirty indoor coil.
Dirty outdoor coil.
Restriction in the refrigeration circuit.
You need to call a pro.

If I need to call a pro, then can I assume you believe there is a problem? If yes, then I am going to call the installer. Not looking for a solution, just input on probabiltiy that there is a problem with the system.

It's also possible that the system is doing it's job adequately and may not be sized correctly.

Call your installer.
He needs to check out the system.
We can only guess from here.
