I have a problem that I cant figure. The suction line is in a vacuum as soon as the unit starts.I thought it must be low on refrigerant so I leak checked unit.Could not find anything,so I recovered the charge, weighed it and it was ok.I weighed in the correct amount again, and the suction goes into a vacuum again.(R-22 unit by the way)The nameplate says 11.7 amps and it draws only 5+The lineset isnt too long.It is a 110 volt unit. All the fans work.It is a Heat Controller model A-HMC12AS.Any thoughts or suggestions out there?I would really appreciate it.

Just one: Call a professional. No offense intended. But tinknocker's answer could have been provided by a recent trade school graduate, which means you should have been able to provide it as well.

Did you forget to take the rubber plug out of the lines set before making connections. I have seen this before.
