split system LUXAIRE CONDENSER UNIT two ton year 1978
S.E.E.R. 7.1 MODEL EEC024FAA
INSIDE BLOWER, EVAP JUST AS OLD same luxaire
compressor died the other day customer wants new outside only.
I Will give em a new disconnect box new line set to the old evap and a new condenser.
being that inside is so old will this match up, work ok with new two ton condenser
and yes i will clean old evap if it need it.

Or write a huge disclaimer!
That old evap was designed for high head pressures of the old low efficiency units. Only way to make that coil work is overcharge the he!! out of it to boost the head way up to get proper refrigerant flow through the evap. What's that do to electric usage? What's that do to compressor life?

thought with a two ton being so small would not make that big of a difference but i will take your advise and tell em I will definitely need to change the evap also, otherwise i will not do the job
