    What is the max. distance that a furnace or air handler can be located from a crawl access door. I can't find my International mechanical code book and my uncle and I are in a disagreement. If I remember correctly its only 25 ft.

    IAW 306.4 2003 IMC Appliances under Floors can be no more then 20 feet from the opening.
