When I first started in this trade I worked for FREE for 6 weeks, then for a crap wage. If you have high expectations as a 1st year apprentice, get ready for disappointment. Paying dues and gaining experience is what this trade is about. Be prepared to be abused, but it is absolutely worth it when you finally have that Inter provincial Ticket.

Any more news on the matter? I have hit many of the larger commercial companies in the lower mainland however none seem to hiring right now. I'm currently working in the refrigeration sector with unreliable hours, don't want to hop to a different company only to be in the same boat.
