WE have a walk-in freezer that we just aquired for service. It has R-416A in it (concerted from R-12). The freezer dopes not maintain temp. Is this a good refrigerant? If not what is the possibility of compressor damage?

What are your pressures and temps?
Tell us a little more about what the system is doing.
You can visit Copeland's site and download a program to view compressor curves.
This info will tell you where their compressors should be operating at given certain parameters.
That will work if your unit is made by Copeland.
