Carrier iVU Link To Trane BCI-C Mapping

    Folks,
I am trying to map points from a Trane Recip Chiller into a Carrier iVU system.

The Trane Bacnet board is a BCI-C communication interface and i am mapping through a iVU ccn Link Module.

I am using the mapping string of bacnet://device/object

i have the trane list of object is for all the points i can choose to map.

My issue is with the device id. i dont know what trane uses as a device id .

i have not gotten much help from trane.

has anyone integrated using this product that can help me ?

    What model trane

I have a large collection Trane BACnet available points, but they are broken down by Trane Equipment model.

Email me, and I can send you the large PDF I have from Trane.

I am not comfortable with posting this information on this website,
don't want to break any posting rules.

The BacNet Vendor/Device ID for everyone can be found at the link below. Trane is 2.

    http://www.bacnet.org/VendorID/BACne...ndor%20IDs.htm

Below is a mapping example for Mammoth, vendor id 55 and the device address of 6.

    bacnet://550006/3:1402

I have not done a Trane unit to iVu on BacNet, only Lon. If the Trane device is at address #1, the device mapping should be as follows ....

    bacnet://20001/object_type : point_instance

There is a free download of a Bacnet sniffer program from Cimetrics. It is a Demo version and shuts it self down in I think 29 mouse clicks but it is very useful in finding the information you are looking for.

Look for the bacnet Explorer download.

Not sure on that, may need to contact Carrier. I was told from Carrier that the first 4 digits we the device instance and the next two were the address. Have never done a Bacnet integration with an address higher that 99. Have used the six digits for Mammoth, ALC & York with no issues, but address's were always less that 10.
