RTAA 200 AIR COOLED CHILLER
Hello All:
This week I will be opening a screw compresor for a Trane RTAA 200 Air Cooled Chiller from 1997. I have a few questions regarding this compressor. I have to replace the slide valve piston and lip seal gaskets. I am wondering if anyone has any tips on performing this job? Or does anyone have a breakdown sheet on this style compressor? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike V

Heres a tip ....If the nut that holds the piston on the shaft wont come undone and it unscrews the nut on the other end .......your royally screwed ...and yes it happens .

When that happened to me, Pueblo sent me a new comp for free. But that was a few years ago and their probably not as generous anymore.
I didn't think lip seals were replaceable, when did they start that? Or did you mean the Comp casing o-ring?“If your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt.” ~Henry J. Kaiser

As stated by Deivewizard, I also haven't heard of replacing the lip seals. Only the lip seal reroute kit.
