I've got a GE window unit heat pump A/C that been sitting in storage for about two years.

We recently bought a cabin that we'd like to use it in.

Unfortunately, I just plugged it in to test it before I loaded it in my truck and the compressor will not start. Blower fan works fine.

It has been sitting in storage with the back of the unit on the floor (controls facing up), if that matters.

Did I read on here at one point that there is a trick for getting window unit compressors going when they won't start after being idle for a while? Perhaps something about the refrigerant pooling in the wrong places?

Any suggestions would appreciated.
