Please give me feedback about the relative quality and dependability of AireFlo heatpump/central AC. My neighbor is thinking about replacing their current unit with a new AireFlo system, and asked me to help him research (since his internet is not working). Thanks in advance for your help!

Not familiar with that brand, I looked at their website, basically the same as most other brands, I would want a model with a Copeland scroll compressor, otherwise the dependablity of the system depends greatly on a quality installation, he should research his installer as much or more than he does the brand of equipment.

AireFlo is cheep as cheep gets. If the metal the condensors are made of was any thinner, the top wouldn't hold the fan motor up. I got a really nice cut from the access to the controls on one once, so now I put my gloves on when I have to work on one, lol.
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

Low end stuff, a virtual clone of the Carrier/Bryant cubes. If you can afford better, I would do it. Otherwise, as the fox says, quality of installation is very important. A low end brand properly installed will do fine.

That's a picture of a Ducane....i thought the Aireflow brand was like the Armstrong brand the enhanced concept with scroll and full metal jacket?
