Hello, does anyone know if the Honeywell Vision Pro TH8110U1003 will work with a milivolt system. I am trying to control a gas valve on a gas stove. Instruction says thermostat must be designed to work with milivolt system. Also, would connection be to R and W terminals?
Thanks in advance.

Awful expensive Tstat to use on that application, but I do believe it will work for you. As long as there is not too great a voltage drop accross the Tstat should be no problem.

The TH8110U Universal Programmable Thermostats provide electronic control of 24 Vac heating and cooling systems
or 750 mV heating system.

Yep, it supports milivolt... just try to keep the wire runs as short as possible. At that small of a voltage, you don't have much to lose to wire losses due to excessive lengths.

Thanks, I kep the run as short as possible, 45' and used 18/2. It was a spare stat I had so no extra expense. Just wanted to make sure it worked before I blew something up.
Thanks again.

45 FEET??!!
Doesn't sound like a short run to me!

Shortest I could keep it. I ran an 18/5 (typo on previous). Was planning on doubling up on conductors to try and minimize the VD.

why are you putting this on a millivote system?? It must be old and heat only???

New highefficiency gas stove. Only way it comes is MV.
Thanks
