air handler in attic sweating a little around the drain nipples and dripping into drain pan under handler and the first couple feet of condensation line drains are sweating?

Normal???

My guess is low air flow,based on your post about noise,could be causing that as well.

What's the temp.in and out of the airhandler??


Can anyone post the "fan data" chart for the OP's appolo not water air handler and the PD of the Rheem coil when wet.


My guess is the fan in the air handler can't move enough air,with the coil and current duct system.


What size was the old swystem?Any duct work changed with the install??

condenser and air handler same brands and same capacities as old units. ducts replaced with new R6 but all same size.
72 degree return air into airhandler and 55 degree air from air handler four feet out into supply plenum.

Possibly overchared ,may still have weak air flow,ducts may be more restrictive then the old ducts.

Need to insulate the first 6 feet (minimum) of that drain line to prevent ceiling damage.

I agree with duct dr, insulate the drains for the first couple of feet. The attic is hot and humid, the water that is condensation off the coils is in the 50* range. So you have that cold water flowing out the drain and some staying in the trap. It is normal, but you can insulate it to cure it.
